Sachin Patel, PharmD

Sachin is a clinical pharmacist, academic detailer, and supervisor with the Medication Review and Academic Detailing department at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). He graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Midwestern University in 2012. Sachin is board certified in pharmacotherapy. His prior experience involves working in retail pharmacy, in-patient psychiatric pharmacy, prior authorization, academic detailing, and creating educational materials for healthcare professionals. He has trained with National Resource Center for Academic Detailing (NaRCAD) to enhance his skills as an academic detailer. Sachin’s clinical interests include collaborating with prescribers to optimize pharmacotherapy, improve prescribing practice and patient outcomes in various disease states such as chronic non-cancer pain, diabetes, and mental health.
