Tara Gallagly, PharmD

Tara Gallagly is a clinical pharmacist, clinical instructor, and academic detailer with the Medication Review and Academic Detailing (MRAD) department at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Tara graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2012 from UIC College of Pharmacy. During her graduate years, she received the Riback Summer Research Fellowship that allowed her to do ovarian drug cancer research. Although her time in research was fulfilling, Tara’s interest remained in clinical pharmacy. At MRAD, Tara can pursue her interests that include patient care, compliance, and long-term positive health outcomes. Tara’s most recent and favorite project is academic detailing in the state of Illinois. She trained at NaRCAD to sharpen her academic detailing skills in order to be an integral part of changing healthcare for the better. She also manages a pain team, participates in the diabetes management team, as well as, develops medical content and policies for different programs in Illinois.
